The Magna Hall at Seneca College is a three-storey, 200,000-square-foot academic and extracurricular facility which was built as an extension to the existing campus in King City, Ontario, Canada. It houses classrooms, labs, a library, study space, and a multi-purpose athletic and recreation space.
The building has a steel tonnage of more than 1300 complete with a rolled and SIN beam structure. It also includes a basketball court which incorporates an architecturally exposed structural steel design.
In order to resist extreme loads, the structure comprises of horizontal and vertical brace connections and high strength moment connections.
